Maybe plan to fail too...
My question to you today is what’s the plan when things don’t go to plan?

"If You Fail To Plan You Are Planning To Fail" - not said by Benjamin Franklin
Hi friends,
Soooo, you might have noticed there was no post on Tuesday. Probably not, there aren’t that many people reading this yet (thank you seven subscribers!). But I definitely felt it as a personal failure. I caught a cold this week, the ‘creeping crud’ kind that knocks you out for a few days.
Now, you might say that 100% perfection, every Tuesday, was unobtainable. And you’d be right.
But that was never the goal.
I routinely set unobtainable goals (my close friends are laughing right now, and nodding their heads). NaNoWriMo, six stories in six weeks challenges, StoryADay May. I’m a sucker for a timed writing challenge. Do I usually make them? Not even close. But I wrote more than I would have anyway. And that's valuable too.
One of my favorite pieces of advice from non-profit grad school was “prepare for failure too.” As in, if you don’t make your goal, you're not just going to throw in the towel. So what can you still do? Plan for that too.
So, my question to you today is what’s the plan when things don’t go to plan?
And I’ll be back next week.
